Vantage
FP Markets
Vantage vs FP Markets is a comparison between two well-regulated brokers that have made opposite bets. Both hold ASIC licenses, both serve emerging markets through offshore entities, and both launched more than 15 years ago — but Vantage runs one of the busiest verified promotion calendars we track (headlined by a 150% first-deposit bonus), while FP Markets runs essentially no promotions at all and competes purely on regulation, platforms, and trading conditions.
We score FP Markets 8.5/10 and Vantage 8.0/10 in our review methodology — two of the higher ratings in our database. This is not a case of a good broker versus a bad one; it is a clean philosophical split, and the right choice follows directly from whether you want broker-funded credit or the leanest possible relationship with your broker. Vantage’s core offers were verified against its official terms on 7 August 2026; FP Markets’ no-bonus status was re-confirmed the same day.

Regulation Comparison
Both brokers pair first-tier licenses with offshore entities — the standard structure for serving emerging markets — but FP Markets’ portfolio is broader and older.
Vantage Regulation
Vantage holds five licenses: ASIC (Australia, 428901), FCA (UK, 590299 through Vantage Global Prime LLP), FSCA (South Africa, 51268), VFSC (Vanuatu, 700271), and CIMA (Cayman Islands, 1383491). The ASIC and FCA licenses are genuine first-tier credentials with enforcement teeth. Promotion-eligible clients register under the offshore arms — the 150% deposit bonus terms name Vantage Global Limited, the VFSC entity — where investor protections are materially weaker than the flagship licenses. Vantage does not accept US clients, and its site-wide policy excludes services to India, Canada, mainland China, and Singapore.
FP Markets Regulation
FP Markets holds seven licenses: ASIC (AFS Licence 286354), CySEC (371/18), FSCA (South Africa, 50926), FSA Seychelles, CMA Kenya, FSC Mauritius, and SCB Bahamas. Founded in 2005, it has traded through two decades of regulatory tightening without major public sanctions. The CMA Kenya license is genuinely rare — only a handful of international brokers hold one — and means Kenyan traders get local regulatory oversight rather than a purely offshore relationship. South Africans likewise register under the FSCA entity. Most other emerging-market clients land on the Seychelles entity.
Regulation Verdict
FP Markets leads. Seven licenses versus five, a 2005 founding date versus 2009, and two regional African licenses (FSCA plus CMA Kenya) versus one (FSCA). Vantage’s ASIC/FCA anchor is comparable in quality, but FP Markets simply covers more jurisdictions with local oversight. Both brokers serve bonus-eligible or offshore clients through lighter entities — know which legal entity your account sits under before funding. Our offshore vs onshore guide explains what changes between entities.
Bonuses and Promotions Compared
This is where the two brokers diverge completely.
Important: Forex bonuses are banned for retail clients in the EU, UK, Australia, and the US. Vantage’s offers apply only to clients of its offshore entity in eligible countries — and eligibility is ultimately determined inside the client portal. FP Markets offers no bonuses anywhere, so nothing below applies to it beyond the referral and VPS programs. Background: why forex bonuses are banned in the EU and UK.
Vantage Promotions
150% + 25% Deposit Bonus (verified 7 August 2026). The headline offer, confirmed against the official T&C: 150% of your first-time deposit as bonus credit, capped at $1,500 of credit, then 25% on subsequent deposits, with a $50,000 total credit cap per client. Minimum deposit $50; the promotion runs from 9 June 2025 to 31 December 2026. You must opt in and pass facial verification, and eligible account types are STP, ECN, Cent, Perpetual, and Copy Trading. Two details matter more than the headline:
- There is no trading-volume unlock in the official T&C. The credit is non-withdrawable outright — the mechanism is a pro-rata deduction of credit whenever you withdraw or internally transfer funds. Profits from trading with the credit are withdrawable.
- Funding method matters. The marketing page states Vantage may refuse bonus credit on e-wallet and crypto deposits (USDT, Neteller, Skrill), so fund by card or bank transfer if you want the match.
The T&C also confirms this offer cannot be combined with Vantage’s default 50% + 10% deposit bonus or its 100% Perpetual-account bonus — so a smaller default variant exists alongside the headline one, and which you see depends on your country and portal. Our Matrix records the 150% offer’s eligible-country list as including Nigeria, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Pakistan, and Bangladesh — and excluding India, Canada, China, and Singapore along with the banned regions.
Is it worth it? As deposit matches go, these are unusually clean mechanics: no lot-unlock treadmill, just credit that shrinks pro-rata when you withdraw. The credit functions as extra margin cushion. Model the real value against your deposit size with the bonus calculator, and read the deposit bonus pillar for how credit-based matches work generally.
10% USDT Deposit Rebate (verified 7 August 2026). For crypto-funded traders: 10% cash rebate on your first USDT deposit, capped at $10,000 per client, on STP, ECN, or Perpetual accounts. You must opt in before depositing, then complete a tiered notional-volume requirement within 30 days (positions closed inside 10 minutes do not count). The program runs until its $500,000 global rebate pool is exhausted. India, Canada, China, and Singapore are excluded along with the banned regions. Unlike bonus credit, this pays cash.
Vantage Rewards / V-Points (verified 7 August 2026). An automatic four-tier loyalty program (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) where tier is set by the notional volume of your closed trades. V-Points accrue per $1M of closed notional volume — 100 at Bronze up to 250 at Platinum — and redeem for cash, profit-booster vouchers, deposit-rebate vouchers, loss-protection vouchers, and prize-draw entries. Commission-free vouchers apply to ECN accounts only, capped at $10 each. Value it as a perk on volume you would trade anyway — never a reason to overtrade. See our loyalty programs guide.
Refer-a-Friend (unverified). The official page currently advertises up to $100 for the referrer and $50 for the referee, with per-country amounts behind a portal eligibility checker. The full current T&C is portal-gated, so treat the figures as indicative.
What is no longer running: Vantage’s $50 welcome bonus ended 31 December 2025, and its 2024 regional no-deposit bonus ended 14 December 2024. Neither should factor into a 2026 decision — if a no deposit bonus is what you want, XM’s $50 offer serves most eligible markets.
FP Markets Promotions
There is no FP Markets deposit bonus, welcome bonus, or no-deposit bonus — anywhere. We re-confirmed this on 7 August 2026 with a full crawl of the broker’s public site structure: no promotions hub exists, and the only regional deposit bonus we found on record (a 50% offer for South Korean residents) ended 31 December 2024. This is a policy shaped by FP Markets’ regulatory posture, not a temporary pause. There is also no cashback or rebate program.
What FP Markets does run, verified 7 August 2026:
- Refer-a-Friend (up to $200 per referral). Verified against the live Seychelles-entity T&C. Rewards scale with your friend’s deposit and 30-day trading volume in forex or metal CFDs: $50 (for a $500 deposit + 2.5 lots), $100 ($1,000 + 5 lots), $150 ($5,000 + 7.5 lots), $200 ($10,000 + 10 lots). Trades must be held at least 5 minutes, and you can earn on a maximum of 3 referrals per calendar year. The reward can be withdrawn or traded.
- VPS fee reimbursement. FP Markets covers your VPS subscription while you meet monthly forex-plus-metals volume thresholds: over 5 lots (Standard) or 10 lots (Raw) on MT4/MT5, over 20 or 40 lots respectively on cTrader. New clients can get initial sponsorship with a minimum $1,000 deposit. Useful for EA traders; not a bonus in any meaningful sense.
Bonus Verdict
Vantage wins by forfeit — but that is the point. If broker-funded credit matters to you, Vantage is the only one of the two offering it, and its headline terms are verified with unusually light conditions (no lot-unlock). If you have concluded that bonus credit is not worth the strings — a defensible position we explore in are forex bonuses worth it — FP Markets’ empty promotions page is itself the feature: your equity is simply your money, with no credit mechanics attached.
Minimum Deposit and Account Types
Vantage wins on entry cost. $50 opens either a Standard STP or Raw ECN account, versus $100 AUD (or equivalent) for FP Markets’ Standard or Raw accounts. Both brokers offer the same two-model choice at their entry tier: all-in spread pricing, or raw spreads plus commission. Vantage adds Cent, Perpetual, and Copy Trading account variants (all bonus-eligible per the offer T&Cs) plus a $10,000 Pro ECN tier; FP Markets keeps the menu to Standard and Raw across all three of its platforms.
We have not completed live spread testing on either broker, so we will not quote pip figures or commission rates — broker-advertised minimums are best-case numbers anyway. Compare both on demo during your own trading hours, and see our low-spread brokers guide for how to run that test properly.
Platforms
- Vantage: MT4, MT5, the Vantage App, TradingView integration, and ProTrader. If your analysis already lives in TradingView, executing through it is a real workflow advantage few brokers offer.
- FP Markets: MT4, MT5, and cTrader — the full big-three retail lineup. cTrader brings Level II depth of market, detachable charts, and C#-based cAlgo automation; among our vetted brokers, FP Markets is the strongest cTrader option.
Verdict: a tie decided by your platform. TradingView users should shortlist Vantage; cTrader users should shortlist FP Markets; MetaTrader-only traders will find both identical on this axis.
Who Should Choose Vantage?
Vantage is the better fit if:
- You want a large, verified deposit bonus. The 150% + 25% structure (to $50,000 total credit) is the biggest verified first-deposit match we track, with no lot-unlock requirement — just pro-rata deduction on withdrawal. (Open a Vantage account or read the full Vantage review.)
- You start with $50, not $100. Half the entry cost of FP Markets, with both pricing models available at that level.
- You trade from TradingView or want a copy-trading account that still qualifies for the deposit bonus.
- You fund with USDT and want the 10% first-deposit rebate (up to $10,000) instead of credit.
- You are in Nigeria, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Pakistan, or Bangladesh — the markets our Matrix records as eligible for the headline offer. (Indian traders cannot use Vantage at all.)
Who Should Choose FP Markets?
FP Markets is the better fit if:
- Regulation depth is your first filter. Seven licenses, a 2005 founding date, and local entities for South Africa (FSCA) and Kenya (CMA) put it near the top of our database on trust. (Open an FP Markets account or read the full FP Markets review.)
- You want clean equity with no credit mechanics. No bonus means no pro-rata deductions, no opt-ins, no facial-verification gates — nothing between you and your money.
- You use cTrader. The shortlist of quality cTrader brokers is very short, and FP Markets is on it.
- You trade from India — FP Markets serves Indian traders through its offshore entity; Vantage does not serve India.
- You are in Kenya or South Africa and want a locally licensed entity rather than an offshore one.
- You run EAs on a VPS and can meet the volume thresholds for the fee reimbursement.
The Verdict: Vantage vs FP Markets in 2026
FP Markets is the marginally stronger broker (8.5 vs 8.0); Vantage is the only one with a bonus. That single sentence is most of the decision. FP Markets earns its edge on regulatory breadth, longevity, and the cTrader lineup — the profile of a broker you choose for a long, promotion-free trading relationship. Vantage counters with a verified 150% first-deposit match with genuinely light conditions, TradingView support, and a lower $50 entry — the strongest package we track for a trader who wants a big, clean deposit bonus from a broker with first-tier licenses in its structure.
Decide on the axis that actually matters to you: if you would claim the bonus, Vantage; if you would skip it, FP Markets. Then verify the exact offer (or its absence) shown for your country inside the portal before depositing, and never fund either account with money you cannot afford to lose. For alternatives on both sides of the split, compare XM (verified bonuses, $5 entry) and Tickmill (conditions-first) in our comparison hub, or filter every verified offer by country in the bonus finder.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Vantage or FP Markets better?
FP Markets rates slightly higher in our framework (8.5/10 vs 8.0/10) on regulation depth and longevity: seven licenses and a 2005 founding versus Vantage’s five licenses and 2009. But “better” depends on your profile — Vantage runs a verified 150% first-deposit bonus, TradingView support, and a $50 minimum, none of which FP Markets offers. Bonus-focused traders should pick Vantage; conditions-first traders should pick FP Markets.
Does FP Markets have a deposit bonus like Vantage?
No. As of our 7 August 2026 verification, FP Markets runs no deposit bonus, welcome bonus, no-deposit bonus, or cashback program in any region — its only active promotions are a refer-a-friend program (up to $200 per referral, maximum 3 per year) and a VPS fee reimbursement. Vantage’s verified 150% + 25% deposit bonus (up to $50,000 in total credit, running to 31 December 2026) has no equivalent at FP Markets.
What is the catch with the Vantage 150% deposit bonus?
The official T&C contains no trading-volume unlock, which is rare for a match this size. The real conditions: the credit itself is never withdrawable (only profits are), any withdrawal or internal transfer deducts credit pro-rata, you must opt in and pass facial verification, the match applies to your first deposit up to $1,500 of credit (25% thereafter, $50,000 lifetime cap), and Vantage may refuse credit on e-wallet or crypto deposits. Eligibility is confirmed per-country inside the client portal. Run your numbers with the bonus calculator.
Can Indian traders use Vantage or FP Markets?
FP Markets serves Indian traders through its offshore entity. Vantage does not provide services to India at all — India also appears on the exclusion lists of Vantage’s deposit bonus and USDT rebate terms. Indian traders comparing bonus brokers should look at FP Markets for conditions or at alternatives like XM for verified bonuses; see our India country guide for the full landscape.
Which is better for cTrader or TradingView?
They split the platform question cleanly: FP Markets offers cTrader (alongside MT4/MT5) and Vantage does not; Vantage offers TradingView integration (alongside MT4/MT5, its app, and ProTrader) and FP Markets does not. Choose the broker that matches the platform you already use — switching platforms to chase a bonus rarely ends well.
What are the minimum deposits at Vantage and FP Markets?
Vantage: $50 for Standard STP and Raw ECN accounts ($10,000 for Pro ECN), with the 150% deposit bonus also activating from $50. FP Markets: $100 AUD or equivalent for Standard and Raw accounts. If you are starting below $50, both are out of reach — brokers like XM or HFM open from $5; see best bonuses for small accounts.
