Short answer: sometimes — but almost no broker publishes a rule that says so directly. We went through every broker in our offer database that has both a bonus and a cashback program on record, and only two of them publish terms that answer the stacking question in writing: Traders Trust, whose no deposit bonus terms state it cannot be combined with other promotions, and FXGT, whose rebate terms state that trades opened on bonus margin do not earn the rebate. Everywhere else, the published bonus terms and the published cashback terms simply do not mention each other. This guide lays out the broker-by-broker picture from our June 2026 verification records, explains why the two reward types conflict at some brokers and coexist at others, and tells you exactly what to confirm before you claim either one — because the order you do things in can lock you out of the other.

Two Different Questions Hiding in One
“Can I combine a bonus with cashback?” is really two questions, and they have different answers:
- Broker bonus + the broker’s own cashback program. Some brokers run both a deposit bonus and a native rebate scheme. Whether one account can hold both is governed by that broker’s own terms — this is what the table below covers.
- Broker bonus + third-party IB cashback (a program like ours). Here the rebate comes from the introducing broker’s commission share, not from the broker’s promotion budget. Compatibility depends on whether the broker lets partner-tagged accounts claim promotions — a policy most brokers do not publish at all.
If cashback mechanics are new to you, read how forex rebates work first. The distinction matters because a broker can honestly say “yes, our bonus works with our loyalty cashback” while its partner department quietly excludes IB-tagged accounts from the same bonus — or the reverse.
Why Bonuses and Cashback Can Conflict at All
The two rewards are funded from different pockets, which is the whole story:
- A bonus is marketing spend. The broker credits you non-withdrawable margin (or a small withdrawable-after-volume amount) from its client-acquisition budget, betting that you will deposit and trade long after the credit is gone.
- Cashback is a share of your trading costs handed back. Native rebate programs return part of the spread or commission you paid; IB cashback returns part of the referral commission the broker pays whoever introduced your account. The full economics are in rebate per lot explained.
A trader holding both is being paid twice on the same lot of volume — once from marketing, once from the cost-share channel. Plenty of brokers tolerate that, because both payments are still smaller than what the trade generated for them. But it is exactly why some brokers write exclusions: the most common pattern we found is not “you may not have both” but “volume traded on bonus funds does not count for the rebate,” which quietly caps the double-dip without banning it.
Broker-by-Broker: What Published Terms Say About Stacking
This table covers every broker in our database with both a bonus record and a cashback-type record. “Not stated” means exactly that: neither document mentions the other, so treat combinability as unconfirmed and ask support before claiming. All statuses are from our verification records (most recently verified June 2026; see each broker’s bonus page for current status).
| Broker | Bonus on record | Cashback on record | Can they combine, per published terms? |
|---|---|---|---|
| XM | $30 no deposit + 50%/20% deposit bonus (both active) | Seasonal “Unlimited Cashback” up to $7/lot (expired May 2026); XMP loyalty (unverified) | Not stated in published terms — ask support before claiming |
| Exness | None — officially states it offers no bonuses (a 10% net-deposit record exists, unverified) | Premier/Rewards EXD program (unverified); strong IB program | Nothing to stack on the bonus side — cashback routes are the whole game at Exness |
| FBS | 100% first-deposit bonus, tiered reloads (active); $100 Quick Start NDB (unverified) | Up to $15/lot figure on record (unverified, tied to an expired promo context) | Not stated in published terms — ask support before claiming |
| RoboForex | $30 Welcome (active); Classic up to 120% and Profit Share (both unverified) | Rebates service: ECN 5-10% of commission, per-lot on Pro/ProCent (active) | Not stated for cashback specifically — ask support; a sister program’s terms do compute interest on “balance minus active bonuses,” so coexistence is contemplated there |
| JustMarkets | $30 NDB + 50%/100%/120% deposit bonuses (active) | Loyalty cashback, 10% of spreads/commissions in JM USD (unverified) | Not stated in published terms — ask support; note the NDB runs on a separate Welcome Account, and the loyalty program excludes Standard Cent accounts |
| Traders Trust | $200 NDB + 100% up to $50,000 Convertible (both active) | Tiered daily cashback up to $2,000/day (active through Dec 31, 2026) | Partly answered: the $200 NDB terms state it cannot be combined with other promotions. Deposit bonus + cashback: not stated — ask support |
| FXGT | 50% welcome up to $500 (unverified) | 50% spread-cost rebate per closed trade (unverified) | Partly answered: rebate terms state trades using bonus funds as margin do NOT qualify — they can coexist, but bonus-margin volume earns nothing |
| HFM | 100% Supercharged up to $50,000 (active) | Return on Free Margin, 2-3% annual (active) — margin interest, not per-lot rebates | Not stated in published terms — ask support before claiming |
| FXOpen | $10 STP no deposit bonus (unverified) | First-90-days cashback, $5 min / $1,000 max / $100 per trade (unverified) | Not stated in published terms — ask support before claiming |
| Vantage | 150%/50% deposit bonus structures (unverified) | 10% USDT first-deposit rebate, opt-in required (unverified) | Not stated in published terms — ask support; the USDT rebate is a one-off deposit promo, not per-lot cashback |
| FreshForex | 300% deposit bonus (unverified) | Up to $20/lot scheme — expired April 30, 2026 | No active cashback on record to combine |
Three reading notes. First, “active” and “unverified” reflect our database status, not a promise the offer is claimable today — always check the broker’s own current terms, and our monthly changelog for recent moves. Second, brokers without a native cashback record (Tickmill, for example) are absent from this table, but IB cashback still exists for them — that combination question is covered in the next section. Third, where a cell says “not stated,” resist the temptation to assume silence means yes. Bonus terms usually contain a catch-all clause letting the broker cancel credits for “abuse,” and claiming overlapping rewards without asking is exactly the kind of edge case that clause exists for — we cover that failure mode in why was my bonus cancelled?
The Only Explicit Rules We Found — and What They Teach
Traders Trust bans stacking on its NDB. The published terms for the $200 no deposit bonus state it cannot be combined with other promotions. Since the broker’s daily cashback is itself a promotion, treat NDB + cashback as off the table there: run the NDB first inside its 30-day window, then look at cashback. The 100% Convertible deposit bonus carries no such published clause — which puts it in the “ask support” bucket, not the “allowed” bucket.
FXGT caps the double-dip instead of banning it. Its rebate terms let a bonus and the rebate coexist on the account but exclude trades margined with bonus funds from earning the rebate (record unverified — confirm current terms). This is the most instructive rule in the whole dataset, because it is probably how most silent brokers would rule if you forced the question: yes to holding both, no to being paid twice on the same bonus-funded lot.
Brokers do publish stacking rules — when they want to. InstaForex, for instance, publishes that its 30% welcome bonus cannot sit on the same account as other bonus types but explicitly may combine with its Club loyalty program. That is a bonus-plus-bonus rule rather than a cashback rule — the fuller treatment of that question is in can you have multiple forex bonuses? — but it proves the point: when a broker intends a combination to be allowed or banned, it writes it down. Silence is genuinely undefined, not secretly permissive.
Combining a Bonus With IB Cashback: Get the Order Right
The stakes are highest with IB cashback, because the setup is close to irreversible. A partner tag normally attaches when the account is created — register directly with the broker, claim your bonus, and decide later that you want per-lot rebates too, and you may find the door closed. Transferring an existing account to a partner code is possible at some brokers but discretionary at nearly all of them; our IB code change guide walks through the request process for XM, Exness, and FBS, and the honest summary is: sometimes approved, always at the broker’s discretion.
So the sequence that preserves both options is:
- Ask before registering. Contact our support (or the broker’s) with the specific pairing: “If I open an account under an IB code, am I still eligible for the deposit bonus?” Whether IB-tagged accounts keep promotion eligibility is precisely the policy most brokers leave unpublished — our records document no official ruling for any of the monetized brokers, so a fresh answer in writing beats any assumption.
- Register through the cashback link if the answer is yes — for example XM or Exness — completing signup in one pass so the tag attaches cleanly.
- Claim the bonus after the tag is in place, from the broker’s promotions area, so you are never in the position of retrofitting the rebate onto a bonus account.
- If the answer is no, run the math before choosing. A one-time credit against an open-ended per-lot stream is not a coin flip — see below.
Some traders route around the conflict with two accounts: bonus on one, rebate-tagged trading on the other. Most brokers allow multiple live accounts per client, and our multiple accounts guide covers the legitimate version of this. One honest caveat: whether a partner tag applies per account or per client profile varies by broker and is not documented in our records — another item for the pre-registration question.
If You Cannot Have Both: Which One Wins?
The full comparison lives in forex cashback vs bonus, but the decision compresses to time horizon:
| Your situation | Take the bonus | Take the cashback |
|---|---|---|
| Testing a broker with minimal deposit | ✔ — an NDB from the no deposit pillar costs nothing to try | Rebates barely register at test volume |
| First real deposit, small account | ✔ — deposit-match credit widens margin when it helps most | Worth asking for anyway if allowed |
| Trading 10+ lots/month, planning to stay | Credit is spent once | ✔ — per-lot rebates compound indefinitely |
| Scalper / high frequency | Bonus rules often restrict EAs and fast trading | ✔ — volume is the whole input |
The general rule: bonuses front-load value into your first weeks; cashback back-loads it across years. An active trader who expects to still be trading next year almost always earns more from the rebate stream — run your own volume through the cashback calculator to see the crossover point. The per-broker pictures for our two flagship programs are in XM cashback & rebates and Exness cashback & rebates, with every supported broker’s current position on the cashback page.
Checklist Before You Try to Hold Both
- Confirm the bonus is actually live for your country on the broker’s bonus page and in its current terms — statuses in our table are dated records, not guarantees.
- Get the combination ruling in writing from support before the account exists; screenshot the answer.
- Register through the partner link first, bonus second — never the reverse.
- Re-read the bonus terms for volume-counting clauses: even where both are allowed, bonus-margin trades may earn no rebate (the FXGT pattern).
- Check what a withdrawal does to each side. Several recorded bonus programs deduct credit proportionally when you withdraw, and one expired cashback scheme on record cancelled the week’s rebate on any withdrawal — the two rules interact badly if you did not plan for both.
- Never manufacture volume just to farm the pair — bonus abuse rules exist precisely for that, and forfeiture usually takes profits with it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you combine a forex bonus and cashback on the same account?
Sometimes. Of the eleven brokers in our records holding both a bonus and a cashback program, only two publish an explicit rule: Traders Trust’s $200 no deposit bonus cannot be combined with other promotions, and FXGT allows coexistence but pays no rebate on trades margined with bonus funds. Every other broker’s published terms are silent, which means unconfirmed — ask support before claiming, and get the answer in writing.
Does claiming a bonus cancel your cashback or rebates?
No broker in our records cancels an existing rebate arrangement because you claimed a bonus. The documented risk runs subtler: bonus-funded trades may be excluded from rebate-eligible volume (FXGT’s published pattern), and unpublished partner-department policies may make IB-tagged accounts ineligible for the bonus in the first place. The dangerous scenario is claiming both without asking and having the broker invoke its abuse clause — ask first and the risk largely disappears.
Can I get a no deposit bonus and IB cashback at the same broker?
Structurally yes at brokers where the NDB lives on its own account — JustMarkets, for example, runs its $30 NDB on a dedicated Welcome Account per our records, separate from any live account a partner tag would sit on. But no broker we track publishes a ruling on NDB-plus-IB-tag specifically, and Traders Trust bans its NDB from combining with any promotion. Confirm with support, claim the NDB inside its time window, and keep the rebate-tagged account for your long-term volume.
Do cashback rebates count as bonus funds?
No — and this is the most consistent fact in our entire dataset. Every active cashback record we hold describes rebates as real, withdrawable money with no volume gates: RoboForex’s terms state rebates “are not bonus funds,” and Traders Trust pays cashback as withdrawable cash credited the next business day. Bonus credit, by contrast, is non-withdrawable margin at nearly every broker. This asymmetry is the core of the cashback vs bonus argument.
Can I combine the XM $30 no deposit bonus with cashback?
Our records document no official XM ruling on holding the $30 no deposit bonus alongside an IB-tagged account, and XM’s own seasonal cashback promotion expired in May 2026. So the honest answer is: ask before you register. Our support can check the current position with the broker so you do not accidentally disqualify yourself from whichever side matters more — the full XM picture is in XM cashback & rebates.
Which pays more over a year — a bonus or cashback?
At meaningful volume, cashback — a one-time credit cannot outrun an uncapped per-lot stream. A deposit bonus is spent once; rebates accrue on every closed lot indefinitely, win or lose. At low volume the bonus wins because rebates need lots to add up. Put your own monthly lots into the cashback calculator against any quoted rate and compare it with the one-time credit you would give up; the crossover usually arrives faster than traders expect.
⚠️ Risk Warning: Forex and CFD trading carries significant risk. Most retail traders lose money. Neither bonuses nor cashback reduce the risk of the underlying trades. Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose.
